Glen Waipa joins the Orange County Judo Training Center as an instructor in our Kids Program. Glen is a recently retired Police Officer having served the community for 29 years, with 16 years of experience as SWAT Team Member. He is also Certified Defensive Tactics Instructor and holds a Master Instructor Certification from the State of California on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

Glen is a 2nd degree blackbelt in Kodokan Judo and brings more than 24 years of experience working in youth programs. Glen has been an instructor and trainer with Boys and Girls Club of America, Boy Scouts of America, and is still active in the YMCA  Parent/Child Program.

Glen's teaching philosophy is "Train with patience, teach safety first,and build confidence while having fun and learning at the same time."

Head Instructor Juan Montenegro stated "I am pleased to have such a dedicated and experienced instructor join the Orange County Judo Training Center Team. Glen brings so much value to our Kid's Program and I look forward to working with him to building a great Kid's Program in Anaheim."
